Self-paced IT Training:

Who does it suit?
Online self-study courses are the perfect solution for cost-effective, flexible, always available home study. This study method best suits you if you can answer yes to any of the following questions:

If so then e-learning is well suited to you, it allows for self-paced study across the internet via a secure learning portal. Your chosen courses are displayed after you login and can be accessed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Your course is presented in modules and guides you through the learning process with the aid of interactive tutorials, demonstrations, activities and practice questions to gauge your exam readiness. Once ready for your exam you simply purchase an exam voucher then locate your local test centre to arrange a date and time for your exam more information can be found in our exam information section.

Classroom Based IT Training:

Who does it suit?
Classroom based study is the most effective method of learning, fact! You simply cannot beat the hands-on instructor led method of learning. Though more costly than other study methods such as Online Self-Paced Study and Blended Weekend Learning it holds the highest success rate and the quickest route to gaining your certification.

• Are you a newcomer to the IT industry and/or have minimal experience?
• Do you wish to complete your certification as rapidly as possible to get into work?
• Do you find motivating yourself to self-studying a problem?
• Are you currently working in IT already and simply wish to update your certification quickly?

There are of course many other situations where classroom learning is the best option, the examples above will hopefully give you an idea of who classroom based learning suits. Can I get support for funding?

For UK residents, officially endorsed providers can offer information on the Career Development Loan (CDL). The CDL is a government backed loan provided by Barclays Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland or The Co-operative Bank. It is government backed in the sense that the Learning and Skills Council will pay the interest rate on you loan until you have completed your course and allows for upto 3 years to achieve this. All classroom and blended weekend based courses provided through My IT Career have the availability to help find a CDL program for UK and EU residents. We can only offer advice on which companies can help with arranging this for individuals we do not actually take CDL payments or nor are we a member of the CDL program, just help advise to put you in the right direction to a successful IT Career.

Blended Weekend Training:

Who does it suit?
If you need the effectiveness of classroom training combined with the flexible hours of online study then Blended Weekend Training is the solution for you. It meets the middle ground on flexibility and effectiveness whereby instead of a 5 day weekday schedule you will attend two 2 day weekend sessions and have access to an online login for the time you have spare during the week to help prepare you to sit your exams.

• Are you working during the week and cannot afford to take time off for studies?
• Do you have spare time in the evenings to study from home?
• Do you like the idea of home study, but feel the need for tutor support?
• Are you in need of classroom training, but find the prices difficult to budget for?
